You don’t need to wait for new laws to teach effective tech habits—the Utah Library Media Standards already provide a fantastic framework for navigating the web. In this video, I walk through a sample lesson designed for 6th graders on how to identify “bias by emotion.” We explore how emotionally charged language can manipulate our perceptions online, giving students the tools they need to critically evaluate digital information.
